mountains have no meaning
Despite our attempts to set the world on the solid foundations of some narrative, natural phenomena escape it. The might of mountains
gives a feeling of indifference; they are too big, to simply “fit” in narrow boxes, that give our lives meaning. Mountains simply are.
Mountains are proof, of how meaning isn’t something that exists out there in the world, but it’s something that we create through
language (fr. langage, it. linguaggio). Our unconscious too, hell, even we don’t have meaning.
The composition is in the shape of a mountain: at first, performers climb on its side, after that they start descending, until they reach new
depths, that their instruments don’t reach.
The work is also a homage to two underrated musical creators Horatiu Radulescu and Ana-Maria Avram.
