We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide us when you register on Scorefol.io, when you participate in activities on Scorefol.io, or otherwise when you contact us. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

The personal information we collect depends on the context of your interactions with Scorefol.io, and the features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

Name / Pseudonym → provided only if the user signs-up for a free plan.

Username → provided only if the user signs-up for a free plan.

Email address → provided only if the user signs-up for a free plan.

Authentication data such as user profile data, account settings, and cache settings → provided only if the user signs-in.

Date of Birth → opt in, provided only if the user submits to “FMS” call for works.

Gender → opt in, provided only if the user submits to “FMS” call for works.

Billing address → provided only if the user signs-up for a paid plan.

Legal name → provided only under legal disputes.

Phone number → provided only under legal disputes.

Mailing address → provided only under legal disputes.

The sensitive information we collect depends on the context of your interactions with Scorefol.io, and the features you use. The sensitive information we collect may include the following:

Nationality → opt in, provided only if the user submits to “FMS” call for works

Racial or ethnic origin → opt in, provided only if the user submits to “FMS” call for works

Providing us with your sensitive information is strictly opt-in and voluntary. The user is not required to provide such information unless they willingly type it themselves and decide to make that information publicly available on Scorefol.io. See the “With whom do we share your information?'' and “Cookie Policy” sections for a breakdown of how your information may be shared and processed by our third-party services.

PUBLIC INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU

We collect publicly available information provided by you such as the title of composition, year of composition, instrumentation, featured performers, program notes, associated publisher, and associated record label on all your uploaded content.

PAYMENT DATA

We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases. All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

INFORMATION AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate Scorefol.io. This information does not reveal your specific identity, but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, general location, browser type and settings, operation system, screen resolution, clicks, page views, and other technical information). This information is not sold to any third parties and is needed to maintain the security and operation of Scorefol.io, as well as for our internal analytics and reporting purposes. The information we collect includes the following:

LOG AND USAGE DATA. This information is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use Scorefol.io and which we record in log files. The log data may include your IP address, device information, browser type, and setting and information about your activity in Scorefol.io (such as date/time stamps associated with your usage, pages and files viewed, searches, and other actions you take such as specific Scorefol.io features you use), device event information (such as system activity, error reports, and hardware settings).

LOCATION DATA. We collect location data such as information about your device’s location, which can be either precise or imprecise. Geolocation data can tell us your current location (based on your IP address). You can opt out of allowing us to collect this information by disabling your location setting on your browser and/or device. REASONS FOR PROCESSING YOUR INFORMATION

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with Scorefol.io, including:

To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING YOUR INFORMATION

USERS RESIDING IN THE EU AND UK

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal basis we rely on in order to process your personal information. As such, we may rely on the following legal basis to process your personal information:

Consent. We may process your information if you have given us consent to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by not using Scorefol.io and deleting your account. Any and all associated information will be automatically removed once your account is deleted.

We may process your information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests, and those interests do not outweigh your interests and fundamental rights and freedoms. You can withdraw your consent at any time by not using Scorefol.io and deleting your account. Any and all associated information will be automatically removed once your account is deleted.

WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone!

Under the CCPA, a business might not sell personal information even when it shares personal information with a “service provider” or “data processor” for a specific business purpose, so long as appropriate contractual restrictions, certifications, and notices to consumers have been established.

VENDORS AND OTHER THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS. Based on your voluntary consent, please be aware that by using Scorefol.io, your information may be shared with the third parties listed in this section. We disclose your information to these third parties only to the extent necessary to perform their functions and services for Scorefol.io.

DATABASE PROVIDERS:

We share your information with PlanetScale platform to store your information, provide our services to you, and to perform any contractual obligations between you and us. Sharing your information with PlanetScale is required in order to provide our services to you. PlanetScale claims that they process customer data only as necessary to provide the services, and will not (i) sell; (ii) retain, use, or disclose customer data for any commercial purpose other than providing the services. BACK-END COMPUTING, DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE OPTIMIZATION:

We share your information with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for back-end management, authentication, computing, and integrations. Sharing your information with AWS is required in order to provide our services to you. AWS claims that it does not disclose customer content unless they’re required to do so to comply with the law or a binding order of a government body. We share your information with Algolia for search implementation and search analytics for Scorefol.io’s faceted search features. Sharing your information with Algolia is required in order to provide our services to you. Algolia claims that it does not control or own the data submitted by its subscribers, or their internet clients or end users, to the service and it maintains safeguards to protect data submitted, including personal information. ANALYTICS:

We share your information with Mixpanel, in order to improve our services based on your usage. Mixpanel is a first-party analytics provider, and claims that all the data collected is controlled by Scorefol.io. You may find their privacy notice link here: https://mixpanel.com/legal/mixpanel-gdpr

PAYMENT PROCESSORS:

We share your information with Stripe, in order to process your payment information when you purchase our paid services. Sharing your information with Stripe Inc. is required in order to provide our services to you. Stripe claims that it will not sell, retain, use or disclose personal data for any purpose other than for the specific purposes of performing the services and to comply with the law. We share your payment receipts, invoicing, and deposits with Xero for accounting and bookkeeping services. Sharing your information with Xero is required in order to track Scorefol.io’s finances and to comply with United States’ government agencies and tax regulations. BUSINESS TRANSFERS:

We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or portion of our business to another company. We will take reasonable steps to notify our users and ensure your information remains subject to protections of this Privacy Policy.

OBLIGATIONS AND PROTECTION:

We may share your personal information If we have a legal obligation to share your information, if we have to enforce or apply our Terms of Service or other agreements, to detect, prevent, or otherwise address security, fraud, and technical issues, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, a third party, or the public as required or permitted by law (for example by exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection).

WITH YOUR CONSENT:

If you voluntarily upload any information to public areas of Scorefol.io, you will be sharing that information publicly with other users having access to those areas.

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in back-up archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

We take precautions to protect your information. Wherever we collect personal and/or sensitive information that information is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way. While we and/or our vendors and third-party service providers use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only Scorefol.io directors or contractors who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g. billing, customer service, call for works judging) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from Scorefol.io is at your own risk. You should only access Scorefol.io within a secure environment.

DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

We do not willingly solicit data from or market to minors in the jurisdiction in which they reside (generally under the age of 18). By using Scorefol.io, you represent that you are not a minor or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor’s dependent’s use of our Services. RIGHT TO REQUEST DELETION OF THE DATA

In some regions (like the EEA, UK, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to delete any personal information collected and processed through Scorefol.io. Deleting your Scorefol.io account permanently, will also remove any and all associated account information. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.
