The creation of Entre tanto y tanto, un caminar continuo aims to reflect on the relationship between technological tools and human wisdom. This connection is manifested in the convergence of ancestral practices, such as playing the Colombian gaita, with sound synthesis and processing technologies. Far from being opposites, these two worlds can coexist and enrich each other.
Conceived as a sonic ritual, the piece explores the dialogue between the real gaita and its digital synthesis. The composition begins with the real gaita, whose timbre, deeply rooted in Colombian culture, establishes the foundation for a gradual sonic evolution. As the piece progresses, the sound of the gaita undergoes transformation and modification, exploring new spaces and textures. Digital synthesis initially emerges as a recreation of the original sound, but over time, it acquires its own identity: its melodies become independent, gradually distancing themselves from the real gaita.
Once the synthesis gains autonomy, it interacts with the real gaita, weaving interlaced rhythms that coexist. In this way, musical tradition and technological innovation merge, creating a sonic experience where past and future engage in dialogue within the same space.
