- The piece, which I like to consider to be a sonorous play, represents an encounter between two “majestic creatures”, characterized by the Violin Duo, and a group of “underdogs of the savannah”, characterized by the String Orchestra. The encounter is a tense one, where the Duo—not as a predator trying to hunt the underdogs—tries to have an interaction with them. The fear and anxiety of the underdogs faced with the refined and threatening movements and sounds of the majestic creatures is what creates the tension that the piece tries to portray.
