- Gentle Winds, is a 12 tone wind quintet, which is in two movements. The pieces follow a narrative, describing the change of a gentle breeze. The increase in rhythmic density, throughout the first movement alludes to intense storms occurring due to climate change. By the end of the closing section of the 2nd movement, the gentle breeze returns, the heavily dissonant language of the 12 tone system is handled to create a soothing texture, representing that we as humans can change to better the impact we have on the world, embracing hope, and avoiding despair.
