- Happenstance is a setting of an original absurdist script by Morgan Hunter for wind quintet. The script imagines each instrument of the wind quintet as a character in a play, and the piece of music sets the script for each instrument accordingly. The result is a drama for winds, acted out by the musicians “speaking” their lines by playing in a way that matches the speech patterns of the written dialogue.
