Trio (Connection Ritual)

This work, inspired by exercises I undertook to “notate” or archive conducted improvisation, is for three improvisers (alternatively, three groups of improvisers). The score is a series of graphic “modules” which give information about how the three performers should relate to each others’ improvisations. In this performance, the trio relates through the specific musical parameters of pitch, timbre and density.
