- Beneath the surface of the North Atlantic Ocean lies a humpback whale named Alice, known as the "loneliest whale in the world." The reason is that while other whales emit waves at 15 to 25 Hertz, she emits waves at 52 Hertz. This made no other creature understand her song, whether it was sad or happy. A wave frequency of 52Hz was last detected in 2014. Since then, its voice has disappeared forever under the abyss. Inspired by Alice's story, the composer composed this septet for flute, marimba, harp and string quartet. The whole song develops from a single theme, and uses episodic narration in structure, hinting at the core materials and wonderful moments of allegro at the beginning of the work. The climax is repeated, with flutes and harps juxtaposed with the brilliant fast sound of the Marimba and the seagull overtones of the strings, depicting the calm shallow waters, the deep currents, and the deep subjects - the fish. Try to show the audience a picture of "the sea is wide with fish jumping, the sky is high with birds flying". In the vast floating world, every life is like a lonely and different star, even in the unknown corner, but also shining irreplaceable light.
