Beauty as a fragile concept in the history of music always plays an important role in my work. Despite the music-philosophical pitfalls of this term, it seems to me indispensable for my self-understanding as an artist. In my perception, beauty lies above all in the delicate, the fragile. What is beautiful is precious and can so easily be destroyed. The combination of violin and cello already reflects this fragility: two wooden bodies that can produce a filigree but not a massive sound, more watercolor than acrylic paint. Even with two instruments, colorful four-part chords are already possible, which here are set on the page like individual brushstrokes.
