- Mea dea, meus amor, Luna is a suite of three short movements for string orchestra and solo instruments, describing a great love for the Moon in all her forms. De Lunae pulcritudo lacrimae fleo describes tears from staring too long at the beauty of the Moon. Featuring a solo cello with string orchestra accompaniment, it evokes the sense of beauty and regret. Ad lunam pervenio, sed non attigo is a song of yearning, ever reaching towards the Moon but being forever unable to touch it. This movement is scored for tutti orchestra, with intertwining parts and harmonies. The final movement, Nulla metus tenebris, Luna custodit, features a solo viola with orchestra. Beginning with a mournful tone, it ends in triumph with the realisation that the Moon is watching and will guard throughout the dark of night.
