Lead (2024)

In this piece, the main concept lays around the repetition and iteration of a net of microgestures, pulses and drones, that combine seamlessly with the electronics that transpose and overlay live recordings of the instruments and condense them.

The agency of the conductor in this ensemble is critical: the conductor determines timings and durations of single instances, with the displayed durations in the score being only a mere suggestion. The conductor depends on the ensemble members’ decisions and can only act and make shape the piece according to them.
