Oboe Concerto

My Oboe Concerto 'Winter' is in 2 movements. The first movement is influenced by English pastoral music, but is a modern take on this, despite utilising the lyrical aspects of the oboe. Indeed, the quirky rhythms of the strings often act independently of the oboe, creating rhythmic figures underneath the long lines of the oboe.

The second movement is more 'urban' and city-like, fast and dance-like, taking material from the end of the first movement.
