Planets Dance in the Night (2025) is a passionate, personal, profound statement on eternal love. The piece tells the story of two massive celestial bodies which obit in space side-by-side. As night befalls, and the universe sleeps, the two planets step out into the sky. At times, they stumble, argue, reminisce, love, act silly, and — in the middle of it all — they dance. At the end, they begin to soar away, fading back into their everlasting orbit.Â
Both parts played and recorded by the composer, Joshua Haugen.
