This is one of my most popular pieces and has been sung, broadcast and recorded all over the world.

It sets the 15th century poem from the Sloane manuscript and the words are just beautiful, telling of Mary, a maiden who is matchless and saying ‘well may such a maiden God’s Mother be.’
