Degradations and Debauchery is a reactionary piece to the seemingly always present sentiment that "younger generations" are losing their way, losing their morals. That those of the elder generation are somehow more righteous in their beliefs. A sort of degradational hedonism occurs. I think that's really silly, but it made for an enjoyable piece to write, in which I manipulated tempo, timbres, and harmony to all point towards a singular moment of complete and utter breakdown.
