Suite for Heroes and Villains: II. Love and Friendship (Orchestra)

Originally composed in 2018 as a much more expansive work, this substantially revised three-movement suite for orchestra is a tribute to the timeless qualities & memorable characters of the superhero genre, depicted across multiple generations of storytelling from the comic books to the silver screen. The second movement, “Love and Friendship”, has a dual meaning - its tragedy represent moments where heroes may be unable to reveal their true identity to their loved ones & friends, while its earnest devotion & youthful optimism reveal all that these heroes do to protect those that they care about.
