Eigengrau

Eigengrau or “self-gray” is the dark gray color seen by the eyes in perfect darkness as a result of signals from the optic nerves. This piece investigates “grayness” as both hue and sensation, or lack thereof. With eyes closed - what follows can only be the effect of one's imagination uninhibited.
