Microplankton refers to plankton with a size range of 20-200 micrometers, just

barely visible to the naked eye. This piece likens the world of "dreams" to that of

plankton, with the entire composition constructed from a tiny four-note motif.

As the piece progresses, the perception becomes increasingly ambiguous,

evoking a sense of floating through the sea of memory. In the end, the motif

reappears in a world almost devoid of concrete sounds, and the piece soon comes

to an abrupt halt, symbolizing awakening.
