December is inspired by winter and snow. After moving to Minnesota, I experienced heavy snowfall for the first time and was struck by its power and beauty. The first snow of the year always feels special, transforming the brown earth into a blanket of white. Snow can be comforting, playful, and even frightening. Through this piece, I sought to express these contrasting faces of snow—capturing the softness of falling flakes and the intensity of a sudden blizzard. The music moves between serenity and motion, reflecting how winter can shift in an instant from peaceful to powerful.
