Interstitial Sketch

Interstitial Sketch explores some of the techniques that have always drawn me to the electric guitar. The piece is partly based on rhythms extrapolated from Xhosa children's rhymes (South Africa). In those segments, the guitar material is a heterorhythmic construction of vocal imitation and complementary fills. Other inspiration is the chordal richness possible on six strings, and film noir.
