Detaching

This piece is a narrative depiction of the process of derealisation/depersonalisation. It follows a motif made of two perfect fifths first played by the solo french horn and heard throughout in a spectrum of different moods and atmospheres. The opening section represents the dramatic detaching from reality and the rest of the piece follows the journey back to reconnecting.
