Tresses

Eye of the Tornado, a fabric work by the Chinese American artist Hong Chun Zhang, uses hair to form the image of a turbulent storm. Just as the art work juxtaposes the ferocity of the vortex with the elegance of women’s hair, Tresses explores the dramatic contradiction between violence and soft elegance, and forms a narration between the two.
