Suite for Heroes and Villains: I. March of the Villains (Orchestra)

Originally composed in 2018 as a much more expansive work, this substantially revised three-movement suite for orchestra is a tribute to the timeless qualities & memorable characters of the superhero genre, depicted across multiple generations of storytelling from the comic books to the silver screen. The opening “March of the Villains” is heavily militaristic in construct, powerful and intelligent in nature - its interlude features a fugue exclusively for the string section.
