- is it still autumn? is yet another work named after a season in my catalog; in this series of season-related compositions, is it still autumn? takes on a slightly darker tone. Inspired by how climate change makes us question whether it is still autumn despite having entered the winter months, this piece uses meditative yet shifting harmony to juxtapose the beauty of the autumn season and the melancholy of the changing global climatic state. Premiered at the Trio Tyche: NEC Honors Ensemble Recital in Jordan Hall at the New England Conservatory on September 15, 2024, as winner of the 2023-2024 NEC Honors Ensemble Composition Competition. 1st prize winner in the Belvedere Chamber Music Festival Composition Contest by Luna Nova.
