- the track features a tape as the backing track that has been split into 19 samples, which are controlled by the pianist through a two-octave midi controller, this controller is mapped through a max.msp patch and then sent to the mixer, for stereo spatialisation of the audio. Another patch controls the live electronics applied to sax and trombone, more specifically the sax will have its timbre modified through a multi-delay + pitch shift, the trombone through an RM synthesis. Both instruments must be mic' d, and the sound modified with the acoustic sound must be appropriately mixed and balanced in the mixer. The indication in the score "SCENE" refers to the cues that change certain parameters of the electronics for sax and trombone only.
