- The text of this work is the English translation of Ecce panis Angelorum, the final stanzas of St.Thomas Aquinas’s sequence, Lauda Sion. Bread of Angels freely quotes the eleventh-century melody Laetabundi iubilemus, contrasting meditative chant with brilliant polyphony that parallels the imagery of the text. This piece was commissioned in 2024 by The Cathedral of the Risen Christ (Lincoln, NE) to celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi.
