Originally written for clarinet choir, Elegy is a short piece dedicated to the many hardships we face daily as human beings, in all their varied shapes and forms. There are also versions for saxophone choir and chamber wind decet, as well as the version you hear now for chamber orchestra, which has recently been revised and adapted. The music itself sways between consonance and dissonance while remaining purely diatonic.
