- Program Notes
- “Innermost Games” is a name of the vocal cycle in progress to be composed in next years. The whole cycle will be based on a sonic representation of human emotions. I consider each vocalist as an instrument for “musicalisation” of emotions as well as “emotionalisation” of music. There are no verbal elements in the vocal parts, because each emotion can say something without any words. This is the first part of the cycle named “Giggling Shimmer”. The main point of it is the diversity of many colours of laugh, giggle, chuckle, snicker, gurgling, guffaw etc. We know, laughter can not represent only positive things, and you always must read it between the lines. “Giggling shimmer” is the work of mine, which musically represents us laughter, and each listener can still make his own choice about what sense of laugh he prefers to hear right now.
