hottt is about everything and nothing. It’s about Charli XCX releasing brat, but it’s also not about that. It’s about Jessie Ware bringing out Beth Ditto at Mighty Hoopla to cover Standing in the Way of Control, but it’s also not about that. It’s about losing all your friends on the dance floor, loosing yourself a little too, but it’s also not about that either. It’s about finding the music that moves you and letting it take over your senses, your body, your brain. It’s a snare like a kick to the chest. It’s bass that shakes the air from your lungs. It’s collapsing into bed, sweaty and tired, watching the sun come up and wondering where that train you can see out your window is heading to. It’s about finding joy between the cracks. It’s about escaping, just for a moment. It’s about everything (and nothing).
