- Lyrebirds, Australian birds, better than all other songbirds in the world copy the sounds they hear: the voices of other birds and animals, the sounds of gunshots, clicks of cameras, car alarms. There is an amazing story about how such a bird lived in the 30s with a man playing the flute, and after he released it into the wild, it taught its relatives so that fragments of his melodies still sound somewhere in the Australian forests. Due to the impact of man on the habitat, the number of these birds is decreasing, and it is more difficult for them to teach each other their own songs, and I thought about how a bird that does not know its own song might feel. The piece is performed by one soloist on three instruments: flute, piccolo and alto flute. The instruments must be amplified, the score is accompanied by a soundtrack and a click track for the performer.
