- Oceans Blooming is a ādeep diveā into my trip to Indonesia in the summer of 2022, specifically to Bira, a beautiful area of jungles and reefs on the island of Sulawesi. This serene spot for snorkeling is the perfect inspiration for a piece about adventure and exploration. From the jungle terrain melting into the silky turquoise of the water and coral reefs, I wanted to capture what it is like being in a place where it seems like time stops and all you think about is the present as it is unfolding before you. 4 medium hard yarn/felt mallets are required at all times; the mallet set up does not change. The electronics may be played from any DAW setup with capabilities for a click track to headphones for the performer and a single file audio playback.
