- This work reflects an exploration of the physical and gravitational nature of the anacrusis or upbeat as a musical gesture. This gesture determines in its execution the timing and character of any piece, as it conditions its very starting point. Here, that gesture also has its own life, contracting and expanding itself throughout the piece, as it also tries to play with our own temporal perception of it.
