XASIRAB (2024) is a work for baritone saxophone quartet, written as a burning, volcanic concert opener and/or closer. The work explores the limits of the baritone saxophone and its capacity for glissandi, quarter tones, and altissimo. Spilling over in complexity and vehemence, the piece challenges potential performers and listeners with a whirlwind of my deeply personal musical language.
