- Program Notes
- This piece is written for a very particular instrument, a harpsichord with split keys in meantone temperament. This means that for instance, e flat and d sharp sound differently, as well as a flat and g sharp. This was used as a starting point, leading to a rotation around certain harmonies and instrumental "behaviours" that become the microcosmic architectural structure, which inspired the title.
