- "Interlunio" could be translated as something like "Between moons", or "Intermoon". The piece came out of the searching of combining extended techniques with a more traditional writing. Within this exploration, I think that the challenge was to prevent the result from being just a sort of "catalog of extended techniques and effects", and at the same time, aim to generate a dialogue between the instruments, a dialogue in which apparently dissimilar materials could interact with each other in a coherent and cohesive way, but also in a poetic way; where the different events overlap with each other in a kind of "sound fabric" that unfolds over time, revealing an underlying connection.
