The flutist plays through a specially designed recording device, an addcorder. The sound is recorded and simultaneously played back through 2 speakers. The same material is interpreted again by the performer, lasting a bit longer or shorter. This happens over and over again, always the same, always different. As a listener, I slowly experience the shaping - or emergence - of an audible sculpture. Not only as contour, but as an object with depth, and a continuously evolving feeling of familiarity.
Recording Notes
I’ve combined the 2 parts of this piece. Which sums up to about 18 minutes.
