- Program Notes
- This work consists of two movements:
1. arpeggio machine
An arpeggio machine produces arpeggios. The music appears harmless at first, but develops totalitarian traits over time: everything becomes an arpeggio.
2 Rush Hour
The music is dense, full, fast and crowded. At the same time there are traffic jams. "Attention, a train is coming through!" Before you've taken it all in, it's already disappeared.
between opposites contains references to the work and thinking of Morton Feldman, Domenico Scarlatti, Joseph Haydn, Helmut Lachenmann and Jackie Chan.
