For this piece I imagined the saxophone going through a process of change, mutation,
metamorphosis and even amputation. During this process I imagined it struggling to keep its
original form, like presenting certain inertia while trying to go back to its original state,
as if it had a memory of how it was before and wished to go back in time. I imagined the
saxophone remembering of his origins and regretting not being able to produce the sounds it
irradiated in the past. Throughout the piece the performer controls the new instrument, but just
in the end and only though a dream, the instrument can go back in time and feel in an oniric,
futile and impossible way the sounds it produced long ago.
