- After writing Summum Bonum (text by Robert Browning), I thought it would be a neat idea to write a piece for women's voices with text from Elizabeth Browning. Since Robert and Elizabeth would write poetry to each other, I thought this would make a cool setting for choral pieces. The harmonies I wrote into this required men's voices. I may revisit this idea and compose something strictly for the ladies. Looking at the original hand written copy, however, it is dated 1995. I know this piece came after Summum Bonum so I believe my dates are wrong for composition year.
