- Cultivation - Construction is a work that sees the musical score as a playground for performers to work in rather than an unmovable guide. Each section gives detailed instructions that still leave much up to the decisions and whims of the individual players and creates a sense of playfulness within the ensemble. This piece could be played a million different ways, and it is a joy to watch the score and see how the players interpreted it in this particular instance.
