- These two moods for oboe were my second attempt to write for the instrument. Having been in a college music program for about two years at the time of the writing (1994), I can see progress in the composition compared to my first attempt. A few years after this, I would use the opening motive from 'Adoration' as the opening motive for the first of the six short pieces for piano, 'Godspeed'.
