- For Music Box. The idea for this piece came about spontaneously while on vacation in a music store in Hamburg that sold music boxes with perforated strips that you can play with your own compositions. The largest of these instruments can play 30 different notes, but there are no dynamic differences and only a limited repetition speed. The eleven pieces are character pieces, in a short duration they try to capture and develop a mood and at the same time a certain compositional technique. Each of the pieces is dedicated to a city I have traveled to, so the music is a souvenir in two senses. The performance markings of each piece try to capture a concise memory atmospherically.
