Premiered at St Paul's Parish, Cambridge, Massachusetts, in August 2023 by Ensemble Altera, conducted by Christopher Lowrey. Text: In principio creavit Deus caelum et terram. Terra autem erat inanis et in tenebris: Et spiritus Dei ferebatur super aquas. Dixit Deus: Fiat lux. Et facta est lux. Translation: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form and in darkness; And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said: Let there be light. And there was light.
