Program Notes
Written in 2002 and originally scored for strings with obligato clarinet, I was going for the spirit of classic Hollywood envisioning Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dancing to the music. I had a chance to sing this the following year at a 'Cabaret' type dinner so I had the piece arranged for piano by Ms. Jane Bate. I thought it would be fun to revisit the piece combining elements from the original, the piano arrangement, while adding the knowledge I've gained in orchestration to create what you hear today.
Recording Notes
Noted with Dorico. Playback through Note Performer. Mixed with Cakewalk.
