This composition contains both improvisations with given material and composed passages of great rhythmic precision. These contrasting types of music collide and are combined, like adjectives that do not match the respective noun. The title "Un punto lunghissimo" (a very long point) would be such a combination and refers to piano playing with extended techniques that complement the piano's typical punctual touch with new sustained sounds. Added to this is a sampling aesthetic that influences the character of the composition with abrupt turns. The dissonant juxtaposition of composition and improvisation and the use of sampling-like effects create a seemingly harmonious atmosphere that is, however, not entirely coherent.
