- This piece is based on the homonym text by Franz Kafka. Melodic and formal ideas were derived from it but more essentially, the sense of desperation and incertitude. The formal structure can be divided into two sections. Being the first one from letter A to E and the second one from letter F to the end. Both sections broadly represent two feelings that are intended to imprint the overall sensation from the text. These feelings are, along with the first section, the desperation of the messenger and the incertitude of the recipient of the message. And throughout the second section, a certain sense of uneasiness and calm.
