- The piece presents a ritual that a group takes in order to enter a deeper state of being, getting more introvert, and going deeper into their own body and soul. In contrary with other rituals, where one is triggered by various sensations to exit him/herself, or even allow other spirits to embody them, this ritual is different, since it reflects a situation where one goes inside him/herself and then exits. In a similar way, the piece is structured following this idea. The first movement is the process, the starting point and the journey of going inside yourself, inside your mind and soul, trying to feel and understand what is happening. The second movement starts suddenly, as soon as you enter yourself, and experience unfamiliar and unknown places, ideas, thoughts that keep on becoming more familiar, until you finally dominate them with your mind, understanding them and letting them go, returning to the state you were at the beginning but with an altered state of consciousness. The performers are going under this ritual as a collective...they all start around a bass drum, producing various sounds, and getting deeper into a machine kind structure that drives them into the bass drum. The bass drum represents their common self, their common ground that they would enter later on, trying to escape from it until the end.
