- Nucl.2 is inspired by the category Nucleation and more particular by the video “freezing cold Nano-cluster”. The non-perfectly formed mass that is shown in the video and its characteristics was my main source of inspiration to begin the process to compose: an icosahedron (Εικοσαεδρον /greek). Due to Molecular dynamics the constant movement of each single atom makes this mass in the first sight kind of unstable or in other words not perfectly defined. Having that in mind and take some granted symmetries-properties of the inner structure of an icosahedron (such as edges, vertices), i created a form in my music which is actually translated in moments. The piece has a constant motion and is characterised by some accents or sudden dynamic climaxes or even sudden tempo changes. Moreover, my microtonal language is an important aspect of the piece, since it provides the slightly different and gradually changing color that the particles get (due temperature changes or other factors) throughout this whole procedure.
