- Program Notes
- Grattos of Netanya (2021), for solo electric guitar, was composed in the framework of the Impuls Academy Festival in Graz, Austria. It is dedicated to the austrian guitarist Samuel Toro PƩrez who has not only premiered it at the festival, but has also played it at the Transart Festival in Bolzano, Italy, and at venues such as the SeeLab and the Alte Schmiede in Vienna, Austria. The creative process starts with the recording of two cats in their reproductive period in the city of Netanya, Israel. The project consisted of devising a complex polyphonic device for the electric guitar, departing from the technical and referential conventions of its own tradition. For this it was necessary to work with exogenous devices not only as a point of transformation of the instrumental gesture, but also as an instrumental extension of sound projection. In this sense, it is a piece for electric guitar and electronic media in real time.
