- Program Notes
- This piece is based on my ongoing research regarding drones and repetition. It is based on a repeated melody, which is eventually compressed and deconstructed. This melody is based on the unending cyclical melismas of Hildegard von Bingen. The electronics (which are controlled live through Ableton) feature field recordings, electronically manipulated percussion and my own guitar work; which was inspired by Sonic Youth and Swans.
